A&E has a show called “Hoarders” about mentally sick people who live in filth and fill their homes with debris and anything they can find, but I think the network has missed the mark.
I wish they’d do a program on the real American Hoarders: our Banks and financial institutions.
I stand with the anti-Wall Street Protesters, who are coming to Phoenix next week, in abhording what’s happening in this nation as the financial world that was bailed out with billions in tax money now hoard their cash while the country falls apart.
They were allowed to take the money and run by the total lack of accountability that went with the original bailout under the George W. Bush administration. There’s a poignant moment at the very end of the excelled “Too Big to Fail” movie about that baillout, when the treasury secretary is warned that he should put strings on the money to make sure the banks use it to give loans to homeowners and businesses to get the economy back on track. He scoffs and says no strings are needed because of course, that’s what they’d do with the money.
That’s exactly what they didn’t do with the money.
I expected the Obama Administration to right that horrible wrong, but they didn’t. And so the economy continues to suffer; families continue to lose their homes; joblessness continues at record levels–and all the while, financial institutions are giving huge “bonuses” to the very people who screwed over America in the first place as they hoard piles of money.
The next time somebody tells you that government should be run like a business, I hope you know what a stupid fallacy that is, because in all this recession mess we’ve been living through for years now, we’ve seen how cruel, heartless, selfish and greedy American business can be.
Welcome to Phoenix, protesters!! And A&E, think about a new show.

I am a conservative republican. But, I could be a fervent supporter of taxing the rich. Let’s start with Al Gore. He has earned 300 million without paying a penny. 63 percent that Obama wants to extort from our small businessmen would give us $189 million from Al Gore. Then, let’s go to Warren Buffett, obamas other rich pal, 63percent would give us 39 billion of his untaxed riches. Then, let’s go on to the untaxed hoard at the gates foundation, that would yield over 40 billion. Then let’s head on to obamas buddies at General Electric. 63 percent would yield more billions. But wait! Obama doesn’t want to have his rich friends pay one more percentage point!! Foolish me!!! He doesn’t support taxing the rich at all, just successful small businessmen
