I was appalled and depressed on Sunday when The Arizona Republic endorsed Jan Brewer for governor over Terry Goddard. They think she can “lead Arizona out of economic doldrums”????? I think she’s going to destroy this state–she and her right-wing legislature that will be in control if she is elected.
I don’t want Russell Pearce to be the defacto governor, but that’s what we’ll get with a Brewer administration. I don’t want our state dug further into the hole of backwardness and an education Siberia, but that’s what we’ll get with a Brewer administration. I don’t want Arizona further embarrassed by a person whose first language is SUPPOSED to be English, but massacres it so frequently one wonders if she has ANY first language. I don’t want Arizona to die on the vine because of politicial trends that are trying to shove this nation back into the dark ages.
Instead, I want a smart, articulate, thoughtful, caring, get-the-job done governor to lead us out of this nightmare. I want Terry Goddard, a native Arizonan who has served the state so well for so many years and will be an outstanding governor.
I know I’m not alone. I know there are many constitutentices out there that want Terry as much as I do and I am wondering where they will be on election day. If they care about Arizona and care about the future of our children, you’ll be at the polls voting for Terry Goddard.
