Already we’re watching Republican efforts to suppress the vote–Tea Party “poll watchers” are targeting minority precincts for early voting and who knows what kind of mischief they’ve got planned for tomorrow.
Whenever a politician tries to limit a person’s ability to vote; whenever a citizens’ group tries to intimidate a voter; whenever robo calls send you to the wrong polling place, as Arizona Senate Candidate Jeff Flake is being accused of doing–whenever any of those things happen, it’s about the most un-American thing you can do.
So for everyone who’s facing those challenges, we must vote like our lives depend on it. Because they do.
