Sheriff’s race spoiler Mike Stauffer–the independent who refused to get out of the race to let Democrat Paul Penzone face Sheriff Joe Arpaio on his own–is looking more suspicious every minute.
The latest campaign reports show he has had “no activity” since September, meaning he hasn’t been campaigning for the job at all, even though his name remains on the ballot. Was he there just to steal votes from Penzone? He might have been nothing but a ringer for Arpaio all along.
